Today's Agent Skill: Employee Benefits Package Comparison Summarizer

What It Does

Choosing between health insurance plans for your team is one of the most confusing and time-consuming decisions a small business owner faces each year. Plan documents are written in dense insurance jargon, and comparing three or four options side by side could take hours of manual work. An AI skill that reads your plan documents and produces a clear, plain-English comparison table helps you make a confident decision in a fraction of the time.

How It Works

The agent ingests 2–5 benefit plan documents — pasted as text, described from a broker quote, or summarized from PDFs — and extracts the key metrics that matter: monthly premium, deductible, copay structure, out-of-pocket maximum, network type, and HSA eligibility. It builds a side-by-side comparison table, flags the best option for different team profiles, and generates a list of follow-up questions to ask your broker before signing.

How to Deploy It

Trigger this skill in Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, or Windsurf by pasting plan summaries and saying "compare these benefits packages for a team of [N]." Windsurf users can invoke it through the agent panel with the same prompt. The output is a formatted markdown table you can share with your team or broker, and a recommendation you can act on immediately.

SKILL.md — Ready to Deploy

## Description
Reads 2–5 employee benefit plan documents and produces a structured side-by-side comparison table with plain-language explanations and a recommendation tailored to the employer's team size and budget.

## Trigger
Invoke when the user uploads or pastes benefit plan summaries and says "compare these benefits plans," "which plan is best for my team," "help me choose a health insurance plan," or shares multiple insurance quotes.

## Input
- 2–5 benefit plan documents, broker quotes, or plan summaries pasted as text
- Team size and optional employee profile (age range, mix of single vs. family coverage)
- Monthly employer contribution budget per employee (optional)
- Priority: lowest monthly cost, lowest deductible, broadest network, or HSA-eligible

## Steps
1. Extract from each plan: monthly premium (employee and employer splits), annual deductible (individual and family), copay amounts (PCP, specialist), out-of-pocket maximum, network type (HMO, PPO, HDHP, EPO), HSA or FSA eligibility, dental and vision inclusion, and any notable exclusions.
2. Build a side-by-side comparison table across all extracted metrics with each plan as a column.
3. Flag the lowest-premium plan
